What exactly did you do? Did you shave most of your head and just leave little bits? Kinda hard to tell what's going on in the pic. Got a picture that doesn't have any effects done to it?

actually i was the solar system, with my head being the sun i had the planets and an "asteroid" belt to complete the outfit. So yeah I had to shave all the hair but left some sporadic sprigs of hair, bleached them and then curlied them up. then i painted my head yellow orange and red. i love halloween, can you tell? As for the pic, my camera went swimming and it now goes on the fritz sproraically. Though i imagine real solar flares could fuck up a shot like that.
